LZ640 is a heavy-duty wide-format carrier tape built exclusively for SOP-8 small outline ICs. Ordinary 12mm carrier tapes with standard 4mm feed pitch often slip and deviate when running heavy reels loaded with SOP-8 chips, causing machine downtime. To solve this problem, we upgraded LZ640 with an 8mm widened feed hole structure, which greatly increases meshing area with the taping machine gears to ensure stable traction even on full heavy reels.
The 0.25mm thick new PC substrate delivers excellent rigidity, eliminating permanent curling after long-term winding and cross-border cold shipping. The 6.40×5.40×2.10mm precision pocket perfectly fits the full outline of SOP-8 chips, limiting lateral and longitudinal movement to prevent pin bending and component overturning. The 1.50° large demolding angle optimizes continuous thermoforming efficiency and ensures smooth SMT nozzle pickup. The integral conductive black PC provides long-lasting ESD protection and light shielding to protect sensitive ICs from static damage and light aging. All dimensions fully comply with EIA-481 international industry standards, compatible with all mainstream 12mm wide taping and SMT placement machines.
